Here i found cool Audio Control Panel which it has more features than ordinary audio drivers such as Sigmatel you can find IDT driver for your Intel Botherbo.
OK after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home (The Free Upgrade) I'm having Sound Issues. IDT Sound Drivers (IDT High Definition Audio Codec): The Speakers built into the Laptop: They Sound OK but not like they did in Windows 8.1. I've already Tested out the Following: Played Music (Sounded OK) Played a Youtube Video (Sounded OK) Played a video i have saved on my PC (Sounded OK) Played a Show or Movie on Netflix (Sounded OK) The Microphone Built into the Laptop Seems to be Working Fine.
Turtle Beach Z11 Headset: They Sound like Mono Instead of Stereo There's Basically no Bass and The Sound is Low even if turned up the volume to 100. I've already Tested out the Following: Played Music (Sounded Bad) Played a Youtube Video (Sounded Bad) Played a video i have saved on my PC (Sounded Bad) Played a Show or Movie on Netflix (Sounded Bad) In Windows 8.1 The Speakers built into the Laptop and The Turtle Beach Z11 Headset sounded like Stereo and loud (Perfect). The Headset Microphone Seems to be Working Fine. I plugged my Turtle Beach Z11 Headset into my Sister's HP that still has windows 8.1 and my Turtle Beach Z11 Headset sounded fine. I plugged my Turtle Beach Z11 Headset into my other Sisters HP that has Windows 10 (She Upgraded from Windows 7) and my Turtle Beach Z11 Headset sounded like Mono Instead of Stereo.
She also plugged in her ear buds and they sounded like Mono Instead of Stereo. I Tested another Headset my Turtle Beach P11 Headset(This Headset plugs into the USB Port) The Sound is Perfect it sounds like Stereo and not like Mono. I'll try and help you out.
Did you try and Restart your computer? As a temporary Solution you'll have to: Right Click Start (the White Windows Icon located at the Bottom left hand of your screen) Click on Control Panel Next Click Hardware and Sound Click Sound if you want to change any Sound Settings Click Adjust system volume if you just want to Increase or Decrease your Volume. I have the same probleem, on win 8,1 everything worked fine, but since the update to win 10 i get really bad low toned almost muffled sound. Tablet spekers are ok, wired headphones are ok although i hear clicks and rattling every now and then, but the reall trouble begin when i activate my bluetooth headphones, the sound is inaudible. I restarted the tablet, resetted the headphones, made an entire new connection, updated the drivers from the acer site but nothing makes a difference.
I am working with a acer iconia w4 series 820 (Does anyone have a idea?) In the mean time i found the answer? My bluetooth headset showed two audio devices, one for the handsfree function and one for the actual music transmission. Win 10 set it to a default connection with the wrong device so my music was played over the handsfree device with very low audio stream quality. I switched the default and everything is fine again? Hope this helpes people with similar issues. Same problem here! Laptop HP envy 17 touchsmart (2014) - windows 8.1 = ok sound - Wnidows 10 = creepy muffled sound We need a proper driver upgrade. PS: Needless to say that the Beats. is the worst sound manager software EVER.
Impossible to disable (actually you can but it get your bass -12, and treble +5 eact computer start),. sound management (lot of bass, not clear sound). And guess what, the company that made the software have ben sold to another, so let's wait forever to have a new driver. PS2: i will try you solution this evening. Thanks jayryan Raveendran That actually worked for my Headset but not for The Speakers built into the Laptop. I only unchecked the enable audio enhancements. I left the Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device checked.
I Tested the Following with my Turtle Beach Z11 Headset: Groove Music: I Listened to a few songs Movies & TV: Watched a Few Videos. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition: I Played the Game. The Sound was Great: No Mono Sound just Stereo like in Windows 8.1 Loud Sound just like in Windows 8.1 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition: The Sound was Loud and i didn't have to turn up the Volume Slider on my Headset almost to the Maximum.

I Tested the Following with The Speakers built into the Laptop: Netflix: Sound was Low and didn't sound very good. Groove Music: I Listened to a few songs Movies & TV: Watched a Few Videos. Even after Extensive Testing The Sound was Low and didn't sound very good. I'll use this Solution for my Headset. Same issue (muffled sounds, especially voice) after upgrade to Windows 10.
Using Realtek High Definition Audio. Worked fine in Win 8.1 previously. I got things working again by adjusting the Surround Sound / Stereo settings.
For more detail, this is how I got it back to work with no new drivers. Search for Sound (should be under settings) 2. Click Configure while selecting the Realtek Speakers 3. Click on Stereo and then Next through to the end. Test the sound If it's not working, there might be another option, suggested by other users on this forum: 1.
![How How](http://notresponding.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Capture-102.png)
In the Sound settings, click on Properties while selecting your Speakers 2. In the Enhancements tab, click Disable all sound effects 3. In the Advanced tab, unclick 'Allow applications to take exclusive control.' Apply the settings and test the sound. A third option, suggested by other users, is to roll back to drivers for Windows Vista (see above): They said: Realtek 10/1/2013, 6.0.1.7054 sound great on Windows 10.
When I Recently upgraded from 64-bit Win 8.1 to Win 10. Although I got IDT sound (Ver. 6.10.6491.0) on my PC and it is playing perfectly, I cannot get HP Beats Audio Control Panel to work. It loads up; however, Beats' sound effects, in the control panel under the listening experience tab (to use the equalizer universally, Music / Voice / Movie environments, and test the speakers. Etc.), do NOT work nor affect the sound at all since the upgrade. Also, under the advanced settings tab, When I try to disable the Multi-Streaming function, the Beats Audio Control Panel just stops working! I tried uninstalling the driver, restarting PC, installing the latest driver, restarting but no avail.
I also went to HP support, but they don't support Windows 10 on PC's built before August 2013. I find it strange that other media application work with sound, but not HP IDT Audio Control Panel! It was working just fine with Windows 8.1. Any fix for this? Well, I went through the root dir of hard disk, and found HP's original, pre-installed driver (ver. 6.10.6418.0 for Win 8), already extracted.
I re-installed it as an admin. Now, testing speakers through the IDT Control Panel work; however, the right speaker was shared by the left speaker when I clicked on it. Also, I could change the environment (music, voice, movie) under the listening experience tab, but clicking the box next to ' Beats Audio' didn't make a difference, and changing the IDT equalizer also had no effect. Under the advanced settings, each time I tried to disable multi-streaming or reset the settings, IDT control panel just stopped working and closed like before. So I went back to Win 10 device manager update, and re-updated the IDT driver back to ver. 6.10.6491.0 over the original.
Now, the control Panel works like the original (which is strange cuz never worked before), but still the equalizer and the Beats Audio box do not make a difference when playing back music through a player. Also, the sound is a little faint/hollow, and the problem with disabling/enabling the multi-streaming and resetting still exists. Hopefully with the Win 10 anniversary update, those issues will be fixed. I appreciate your replies and trying to help.
